You'll find a summary of the CAC's Upper Albany projects since 2001 below. Funding has has been provided by the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA), Connecticut Housing Investment Fund (CHIF), the City of Hartford and Northeast Utilities.
Deerfield Avenue
Historic renovations to four previously abandoned two-family houses
Construction of three new houses mirroring historic designs on the street
Organization of a resident association
- Newly designed deer statue installed at the street’s entrance
Irving and Vine Streets
Construction of five new two-family houses on abandoned lots
Edgewood Street
Conversion of the three-story brick “perfect six” properties at 19 and 29 Edgewood into side-by-side two-family houses
- Construction of three new houses mirroring historic designs on the street
Planned and Underway
Conversion of the 8,000 square foot building at 58 Edgewood into six two-bedroom condominium units
- Construction of six more condo units on two vacant parcels on 49 and 50 Edgewood.
